Robert E. Weintraub (1925-1983) taught economics at Northwestern University, City College of New York and University of California, Santa Barbara from 1955-1973. From 1973-1983, he served as an economist with several congressional committees, including the House Banking and Currency Committee, and Joint Economic Committee.
